Full Height shutters
Measure the full window recess
Measure the exact inside of the window recess: width and height in millimetres. Take width at the top, middle and bottom, and height at the left, centre and right. Always use the smallest measurement.

Café Style shutters
Measure width and the café height
Café Style shutters cover the lower part of the window. Measure the exact inside recess width in three places and use the smallest. For height, measure from the sill (or bottom of the recess) up to where you want the top of the café shutters to finish, typically around halfway up the window.

Tip: if you are unsure where the café top should sit, measure a comfortable privacy height from the sill and note it for your measuring call.
Tier-on-Tier shutters
Measure the full recess, then set the split
Measure the exact inside of the full window recess: width and overall height in millimetres. Take each dimension in three places and use the smallest. Tier-on-Tier uses independent top and bottom panels; set the mid-rail split height in the designer after you have the overall size.
Enter full recess width and height in millimetres.
Tip: get the overall recess size first. The designer lets you set where the top and bottom tiers meet after measuring.
Perfect Fit shutters
Measure the visible glass only
Measure the visible glass only, from rubber bead to rubber bead. Measure the width and drop in three places and enter the smallest size. Do not include the window frame, beading or recess.
Enter glass width and glass drop in millimetres.
Blinds and rollers
Measure width and drop
Measure width and drop in three places and use the smallest measurement. Drop is the height of the blind. Note whether you are fitting inside or outside the recess before you order.
Enter recess width and drop in millimetres. Use the smallest of three measurements.
